E-WMS manual filtering and Auto queue filtering - changes

Introduction

From release 415, you have the possibility to filter by 'WMS zones', when sending orders picking using E-WMS Auto queue.

In addition, filtering order lines when sending orders picking manually, now offers extra selections.

These additions have also been patched back to release 414 and 413.

Availability

The new functionality is available in following releases:

  • Product update 415
  • Product update 414 from service pack 414SP1
  • Product update 413 from service pack 413SP8

Some of the functionality will only be available in releases 413 and 414 after performing a database update manually, since a database (add-on) update is not enforced by E-WMS for this update.

Changed functionality

The functionality has been changed for both manual filtering, and automatic filtering by Auto queue:

  1. When sending orders picking manually from E-WMS Control Center and when the setting 'Filter order lines' is enabled:

    • Sales order fulfilment: additional filtering on type of location: bulk, pick or none
    • Receipts registration: additional filtering on 'item group', 'picking classification' and type of location: bulk, pick or none.
    • Inventory (guided counts): additional filtering on type of location: bulk, pick or none
    • Production Issues: additional filtering on type of location: bulk, pick or none

Please note: filtering on location properties for 'Receipts registration' is based on the item main location, since this process has no actual location advice.

  2. When sending orders picking automatically using E-WMS Auto queue:
    • additional selections in 'Scanner group filters' on: Zone, Location, Item code, Item Group and item 'picking classification' (range selections)

To enable this functionality for Auto queue in releases 413 and 414, it is necessary to perform a database update manually.

  3. The Auto queue will no longer generate error messages (in most cases 'No lines found, which can be fulfilled') in WMS RF Monitor, when sending picking fails because the order- or advice lines do not match the scanner group filter. As before, you will have to monitor status 'Advice' or status 'New' to check for lines which did not meet the configured scanner group filters. It is assumed that you configure scanner group filters which cover all possible advice lines.
